The City of Trees

Trevor and I are both very excited that our wedding is going to be held in Boise, Idaho. Not only do our families both reside in the area, but Boise is a wonderful town with so much to offer!

For our out-of-town friends and family we hope the venues we are holding our ceremony and reception at give you a glimpse of what a great city Boise is and why it is so special to both me and Trevor. And for those of you that are locals, we hope you are reminded of what it is you love about the city too!

Our ceremony is going to be held at Kathryn Albertson Park. This park was donated to the people of Idaho on October 17, 1989, by Joe and Kathryn Albertson. The park is 41 acres in size and was designed to be an attractive home for resident and migratory wildlife in downtown Boise. It features wide, paved footpaths which wind through the park carrying walkers past colorful, abundant trees and wildlife. Highlights include a fountain, a cross-section of the world's largest Ponderosa Pine, access to the Greenbelt, and two gazebos of stout beam and stone which offer attractive views and seating along the paths to view waterfowl and songbirds.

We both loved the park for its beautiful, natural setting and the peaceful, serene atmosphere it provides.

Our reception will be held at the historic Boise Depot. This beautiful Spanish-style structure was originally built by Union Pacific Railroad in 1925, and was recently restored to much of its original state by the Morrison-Knudsen Company in 1993. The Depot offers a splendid panoramic view of the Boise Valley and building grounds include Platt Gardens, a lovely park with pathways, a gazebo and a koi pond. The reception will take place in The Great Hall, a soaring 3,542-square-foot multi-story atrium that once served as the building's waiting room.

The Depot is truly a Boise gem that we are thrilled to share with you. We look forward to dancing the night away in the Great Hall with each and everyone of you!

Now for the Gentleman...

Phil Ragusa- Best Man
Trevor and Phil first met in 2001 at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. The two quickly became friends and the rest is history. They had a good time studying abroad (a.k.a. causing trouble) in London, throughout Europe and up and down both US coastlines. Trevor is excited to celebrate this special event with his best man at his side.

Kasey Swisher- Groomsmen
Trevor and Kasey first became friends at the University of Idaho back in 1999. Their paths have crossed at almost every juncture. The two both grew up in Ontario, OR, they shared the same fraternity at U of I, both attended Pepperdine University, and each settled in Southern California after college. Trevor is grateful to have Kasey at this important crossroads as well.

Allen Barto- Groomsmen
This friendship has been going on a good 14 years and counting. Trevor first met Allen back in the early 90s in Ontario, Oregon. He was sporting a tie-dye and hot-rodding his new 280Z car. Little did Trevor know, Allen would soon become his brother-in-law and great friend for years to come. Trevor always looks forward to trips to Idaho where they can enjoy wakeboarding, snowmobiling or any activity they can get their hands on.

John Kralik- Groomsmen
John and Trevor met in Los Angeles back in 2004 when they both started working for the same commercial real estate brokerage. The two quickly hit if off and took downtown by storm. Whether out on the town celebrating their latest victory or back at the office hard at work, it was always a good time. Trevor couldn't be happier to have John at his side for this special celebration.

Marco Murillo- Groomsmen
Trevor and Marco became great friends at Pepperdine University in 2002. Early on, both shared an interest for travel and studied abroad in Italy through the school’s program. Travel continues to be a favorite pastime for the two. Trevor enjoyed a trip last summer to visit Marco’s home in Amsterdam and we are looking forward to Marco’s return to the states to celebrate our big day!
